There is no greater version of this song than this one by Michael Crawford. I break out in chills at 2:40 and am in tears by 3:13.
Nobody else has been able to do that for me...Groban, Buble, Crosby...
Although, Cody Nielson really nailed it about 4-ish years ago for his HS concert in SLC during our Annual Marriot Stay. I was moved to an utter sob. Jake, you too. I saw. ( :
It is hard to avoid specifically at that 3:13 mark. ( :

Wow. That is my all-time favorite Christmas Carol. It is hard to find many who sing it to my satisfaction...but that was very satisfying and caused the "goose flesh" on my arms to arise. :)
It gave me the chills! That was good. Oh, and my hubby asked me from the other room if I was listening to Michael Crawford. How funny is that?
Loved it! And, I admit I got chills myself. I love that song. And I love Michael Crawford. When I was growing up, I used to say that if he is still alive when I die, I want him to sing at my funeral. Happy belated birthday, by the way! I saw your boys Friday. ADORABLE AS EVER!
I TOTALLY and COMPLETELY agree!! I still remember the first time in high school when I heard him perform this and was blown away! We must be related :)...thanks for posting!
ps - had high hopes for Josh Groban to do a good version of this...but NOTHING compares to Michael Crawford...he just lets loose, baby.
pps - Did you ever see him in Condor Man...awesome, if you need a good laugh...I've got great memories of watching that as a kid with the Wilcken clan...all I have to say is 4:20...sa-weet!!
I just have to say that I was also there when Cody sang in SLC and it was incredible, and I cried. And this version is making me tear up as well. Thanks for sharing.
