Bryan Graduates PA School

For journaling purposes (since I've decided this blog will be our journal/scrapbook), I had to add this post in (for back in June)...

I PASSED!!!

I took the Physician Assistant National Certification Exam (PANCE for short) last Friday. It is a comprehensive, 6 hour, 360 question, gut-busting exam whose content ranges from Cardiology to Neurology to Urology and everything in between. It tested me on everything I had learned during the past two years in PA school at the University of Florida. I graduated from the program on June 21, 2008...

...and took my exam on July 25, 2008. I found out this morning that I PASSED the PANCE!! What a relief!! I am now officially done with my formal training! School is over! No more papers to write for some useless subjective grade and no more studying (cramming) late into the night for an exam the following day! I feel so free right now. I have been in school my whole life; and now, I am officially done!

Now I can start concentrating on really important things like where we will go to dinner tonight to celebrate! Now I can focus on neglected priorities like my golf game and my jump shot! Now I can begin learning how to successfully navigate my dish DVR and PS3. Now I can commence my domination over faceless internet foes on my newly acquired NCAA '09 college football game. Now I can guiltlessly start the countdown to the Summer Olympics and Gator Football! I am free, I am free!

An official problem

I have an official problem... I don't read privatized blogs. Why? Because they don't show up in my 'morning newspaper' aka my email blog subscriptions. I barely get through reading the 'unprivatized' blogs before some little kid (oh, I mean mine) comes tugging on my fingers for help. And therefore ends the daily blog reading. So.... I have missed reading some of my friends' blogs (Lyns) but perhaps when I get a life again (aka my own residence) maybe I can send the kids outside and I can have time to read all the private blogs I want. ( :

Overall

Overall, I'd say it's been a good week. We bought a house, landed a job... and we've been eating otter pops everynight nonstop. To answer some questions... Yes, it is directly in St. George and infacto... it is approximately 3 1/2 minutes away from Bryan's work. Bonus!! It also happens to be right around the corner from the brand new Barnes & Noble... HUGE BONUS!!! Another bonus?... it faces the East so after 4pm our backyard becomes a shady paradise. Unlike Florida, the shade is actually very pleasant here. Let's see... Bonus #14: it was a foreclosure home so we got a smokin' deal. It's in a very quiet, unbusy neighborhood. And, oh ya, right up the street from Hollywood Tans (jk). ( : The only thing I can find wrong with it is that the jetted tub is not wired for a TV. hehe! Kidding.
Ok, so, job: Bryan will be doing Orthopedic Surgery with Dr. Green. Yay! Incomes are nice. And that's all I can fork out on this dial-up connection. Oh wait, one more... I STILL have not seen the scene from the Twilight movie. What the heck is the matter with me. I must very involved in some major life decisions to miss out on this one. Either that or dial-up sucks. Soon! And then I will goo and gaa all over my blog about it.

There's No Place Like Home

We are SOOOOOO excited for our new home. If all goes well we may close in a week or so. There are so many things that I really like about this home... Mainly the view is what we're so tickled about. I can just imagine making cinnamon rolls in the kitchen and staring out over the valley as I roll the dough. The double ovens are definitely a perk as well as the gas range. Quite the change from our 1,000 square foot, sea of green, daddy long leg laquered into the floor apartment in FL. But, of course, we all know that 'these things' don't make us happy........

And... we're using dial-up so it's pretty much hard to stay in touch with earth internet. But hopefully I'll be able to fill you in with all the gory details soon.
