- Ok, the aprons are $80. I suppose because they're homemade and not being mass produced in China... and they're made out of designer fabric. Guess it will go on my wishlist... home of the place where many an overpriced item sits... just waiting for that weak moment to be indulged upon.
- I'd like to take this moment to welcome my little Benny bro. to the land of the Bloggers. Welcome Ben! May you find the continuual battle to spend less time on the computer and more time reading your scriptures a small one.
- I seem to be somewhat secluded in my Jason Castro fanness. I'm not too hype about his singing... more like his personality. I think he's cute and somewhat adorable. He has screaming fans... if you didn't notice last night. And I think to lose the dreads would be a grave mistake although I would never touch them in real life.
- "Days Go On" by Greg Laswell is now available on iTunes. 99 cents? worth every penny!
- Bought David Cook's version of "Hello" on iTunes (couldn't resist). It's even better than I remember it. In fact, IT TOTALLY ROCKS!
- Barefoot Contessa has a raving Beef Brisket recipe rated 5 stars by hundreds of cook-attics like me. Shall I find the recipe for you? ok...here. Also, ...Asparagus wrapped in Phyllo dough? sound fantastic.

I've made those phyllo wrapped asparagus things. I served them at Amanda's bridal shower. You might want to consider a couple tweaks. First, they really need some salt and a hint of flavor, so before I roll them up, I sprinkle the phyllo with garlic salt. Second, for some reason I felt like the recipe was confusing on how many sheets of phyllo to use. (WHO KNOWS WHY?) Since I couldn't figure it out, I used 5. I cut the phyllo sheet into 4 strips, not 2 like she said. This makes them thinner and the phyllo makes a nice graduated slope down the asparagus instead of a flat sheet of wrapped phyllo like in the picture. I loved it that way. When I made them the second time, I used 5 sheets again, but I only cut the phyllo in half like she says. It was WAY WAY WAY too much phyllo. The garlic salt and cheese got lost in it all. If you're going to cut the phyllo sheet in half, don't use more than the 1 (or maybe 2) she recommends. Most importantly is the garlic salt though. I found out about that by reading the reviews on the recipe and I'm glad I did!
Marie you can buy the pattern for the apron...http://www.montessoribyhand.net/patterns.html
Don't know if you sew but it seems like aprons would be a nice way to learn.
I, too, have made those phyllo wraps. They are delicious. I found your blog through Heidi's and I'm loving every minute of it!
