Hungry Black Alligators

Why do the Gators turn black this time of year? Just a question. Is it because they haven't 'fed' in awhile? Kind like the eyes of the Vampires in Twilight? Yes, I think that's it. That's the best explanation I can come up with...

Can you see the Gators (above)? There's about 7 of them on the opposite bank there. We went upstream a little and when we came back there was about 20. Who knew they could move.

Our friends, the Dewsnups, went with us. Check out Andrea's face... (laughing). I was backing up and almost stepped on a Gator (not really, but 20 ft is close enough, right?)
You might think that Andrea's running away from a hungry, black alligator monster. No no, the bugs are much more scary. (laughing)Bo & Mamma.
