Who's your Dermatologist?
Do you go to a Dermatologist that you know and love? Do you live in Utah? If so, you are the winner of my "Help us find a dermatologist in Utah that Bryan can send his resume to so we can move out there and live happily ever after" contest. All you have to do is submit the name of your dermatologist in the comment section of this post and that's it. You are thus then the winner. (multiple winners may be announced)

Flickr
See the totally cool Flickr photo letters at the top of the page? I LOVE THEM but I can't seem to get the little Flickr badges to put my letter photos in the right order. It's driving me crazy. So, if anyone has anyone experience with Flickr and knows how to fix this, I beg of you to share your knowledge. Till then I'm just leaving it all scrambled ... like it's a little clue. ( ;
PA's
I LOVE PA's. Well, the profession, that is. (I suppose I am in love with a PA). Anyways, this is for anyone considering the healthcare profession... PA's rock! The profession is totally fantastic and jobs are growing like weeds. This is for Cody Beau. ( :
Some stats:
Some stats:
- There will be 83,000 jobs for PA's in 2016. (There were 4,500 graduating PA's in '07).
- In 2007, PA's prescribed about 17 million more prescriptions than they did in 2006.
- PA's in the US collectively see about 466 patients per minute. (interesting)

It's Official!
It's official. Our plane tickets have been purchased.
WE'RE FLYING HOME!
I LOVE Florida. But I also love home.
Bryan is doing his dermatology rotation in Utah from 4/28-5/21. We're all flying home Saturday, April 26th. And then Bryan's coming back to Florida to do his Orthopedic/Sports Medicine rotation in Lakeland. The kids and I will stay in Utah and then I will fly back for his graduation June 21st. It is unsure at this pivitol point in our lives where we'll be after that (I'm secretly asking the "Universe" for a job on the Western front).
Despite it's miserable weather, Utah is fabulous. So what if I had to wear my winter coat UNDER my fairy costume for Halloween when I was 7...
I was a little traumatized. So what. Miserably cold winters mean hot baths, hot cocoa, and winter vacations to Florida. ( : And I miss my family.

Fired
Ever tried to take a nap while you're kids are awake? The past two mornings around 9am I have not been able to keep my eyes open. This morning I even snuggled up with a blanket as if I was actually going to get some shut eye. The usual interruptions proceeded... "I need juice..., Tissue..., Push play..., Fix it..." and then... (sigh), 10 minutes of actual rest. Then I feel this little train choochooing over my head. "Mm, that feels good." And then "BAM", the train violently crashes into my forehead. I abruptly jump up and say, "Hey, no hitting." I guess I needed a wake up call (literally). I can see why he did it... Mom was sleepin' on the job. I can just imagine him saying..."Mom, you're fired." And then two seconds later... "Mom, you're hired again. Can I have some lunch?"
Sam
An anonymous 'Sam' has commented on my Swivel Sweeper post. The said 'Sam' keeps his/her profile blocked.
Dear 'Sam', Who are you?
As much as I hate it when people privatize their blogs I think it might be a necessary inconvenience.

Hannah
Hey Hannah. I found you in bloggerland! You became my best friend when I felt like I had none. 7th grade was a glamorous year (depicted below). Thank you for being a huge part of my life.

(I have the feeling Hannah will NOT appreciate me posting this picture. I think it's pretty dang funny and I'm not afraid to admit... I had a great time in colorguard.) ( :

Officially Fantastic News
'Breaking Dawn' is officially set to release Aug. 2nd. You can already pre-order a copy. AND... The movie, Twilight, is set to release Dec. 12th. I can't decide if I'm supposed to pre-order the book or stand in line the day of... I've never really been a crazed fan before. I will, of course, be at the very first showing of the movie... dressed like a vampire. ( ;

Best High Chair Ever
I believe I may have found the greatest highchair ever...
It's really just a little guy. It's the Fisher Price Space Saver High Chair and Booster. I love this highchair for many reasons:

- Good for Newborns up to Bowen's age. How is it good for newborns? It reclines almost all the way back AND you can adjust the tray so that it's still level. And then, the back comes off and it converts into a booster. Awesome.
- I love the one-hand ability to pull the tray off. Super convenient.
- I love the vinyl-ish pad. Not really sure what material it is but it wipes right off.
- I love that it's just a tiny little seat that you can move to ... in front of the TV (who would do that?), take to a restaraunt (maybe I'm kidding about that one), or take to a friends house that's babysitting.
- I love that all the adjustments are so smooth and easy.
I think it's perfect for Grandma's house. I have one teeny tiny little gripe... that the pad doesn't curve around the seat where the child's hips are (hard to explain) because now food can get in between the cover and the seat. Almost perfect. It looks like a woman with many small children actually may have had a say in the design of this one (which doesn't seem to be the case with many of them out there). And there's my endorsement.
Love the iPod
I discovered this awsome website... http://www.americanrhetoric.com/. From there you can download to your iPod famous speeches like "The Gettysburg Address" by Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream." How cool is it to be working out or driving along and listen to some masterpiece of history that inspires perspective and gratitude. Love it.
Also, did you know that at LDS.org you can download audio versions of The Standard Works, Ensign, Friend, New Era, Jesus The Christ, General Conference talks, Hymns, CES firesides, Education Week Presentations, etc.? Love it.
I also love the ipod because I can jam out to "What Goes Around.../... Comes Around" by Justin Timberlake. Ya, that's right. Love that song. (That link goes to the video and I haven't actually seen it so sorry if it's naughty)

In the Fucher (future)

"When I grow up I'm going to Calige. And in the middle of calaige I will go on my mishan. and when I come back from my mishon I will have three more years of colaige. And when I get done with Colaige all stay with my perents for a few years. Then all get meryed and mabye have tow boys and one girl and all be driving a furary. All be living in a tow story house. all be in the middle of bing poor and bing rich. If I'm lucky all be a profeshinal at baceball. but if I done't be a profeshanla baceball player all be a bancer." (Not sure what that last word is. Bryan says there's now way he meant 'dancer'.)
Here's a picture of Bryan in 1989. What a lil' cutey.

Randy Pausch's Last Lecture
Sadie forwarded this link to me and it is absolutely fantastic. It is a lecture given by Randy Pausch, a professor at Carnegie, who has pancretic cancer and only months left to live. I feel heartbroken for his three children and his wife. I love the points he makes about living life.

Anyone want to take the Hinckley Challenge with me? The challenge is to read the Book of Mormon in 97 days in honor of President Hinckley.

That's my progress chart so far. Ya, I haven't started yet... the challenge starts tomorrow.
