Fun with Chocolate

Now that I'm not 'with child' anymore...
I have this overwhelming desire to COOK!

Hang the coupons... I want to buy prosciutto, blue cheese, "white truffellllll" (another Ratatouille quote).

So, in getting back to the old routine of perusing through my cookbooks all day (providing myself great amusement) I came across PD's "Chocolate Celebration".
Remember when I said, "I must make a moon pie or I'll just die"?
I meant it.
Hence, the moon pie...
(actually 'mini mallow cake' from PD)

Truth be told, I did not LOVE the mini mallow cake. And since I was so determined to make something absolutely fabulous... I went to an old favorite (a best ever)... Keri's Texas Sheet cake.
I cut it into little circles, layered it with frosting, and doused the outside with chocolate candy coating...

Don't they look glorious?
Well, they tasted EVEN BETTER!

Aw, life is good.

OK. I can make the cake and even cut it into circles. I might even frost it, but I wouldn't even think to drizzle white frosting on, wrap it in a bag with a cute polka-dot bow and put it in a basket with pink paper and a cute note that ALL MATCHES! Only YOU could finish it up and make it priceless and special!

I love chocolate, and those look too pretty to even eat! You are amazing. I also love the movie Ratatoullie for foodie reasons. And I have to say.....I read Highway Man of Tanglewood (just finished it today and am still lost in the love story) and I soaked in every page, word, kiss and LOVED every second of it. I must read more of her books, I must. And we should be better friends :).

Those were so dang awesome! I am so glad I got to enjoy some of the goods! You are so talented and should open some sort of business. I actually came to your blog tonight because I had to frost and decorate some cupcakes for the Cub Scout pack meeting and they turned out pretty awful! The whole time I was frosting them, I thought of you and how you actually ENJOY all this culinary stuff! I am so not this type of person. It is fun to see what you come up with. It is obvious you have a passion and you can taste the love! Good job!
