Easter Cookies

Seriously. Hard to resist making sugar cookies for a Holiday like Easter.
Fondant is one of my favorite toys.
I am secretly bugged, though, at how much the cookies expanded while cooking.
Cute little bunny turned into Chubby Bunny.
Maybe the Easter Bryan, I mean Bunny, will bring me "The Top Secrets of Making Sugar Cookies" book.

I also wouldn't mind THIS...

And, um, maybe even THIS...

(well, you have to pre-order that one. It's having a hard time being released.)

Your cookies are so so cute! I have never tried to use fondant it looks a little scary to me and a lot of work! Does it taste good?

HAHA, I was wondering who Christopher was. Fondant can be scary, yes, partly because it's expensive (if you don't make it yourself) and so you don't want to mess up with it... which is easy to do, I think. I think it's fabulous, though, because it's so smooth. It just looks really clean. It really doesn't taste that great. To me, it almost tastes like nothing. But the sour cream sugar cookies are soooo good that you almost don't have to have frosting. ( :

When are you going to put all your recipes on your recipe blog? (tapping foot)
Cute cookies. I love using fondant, but I hate that it doesn't taste like cream cheese frosting...which is a must for me on sugar cookies.

Do you make your own fondant or buy it? If you make it, I want the recipe (if it's good). :) Those are cute cookies...chubby bunny and all!

I have never made my own fondant. It seems like it would be a lot of work seeing as fondant is so tough... like how would you mix it? ya know? anyway, never tried. I actually bought mine at Roberts with their 40% off coupon. SWEET! Which is the only way to do it because fondant is quite the expense. ( :

P.S. I love the look of fondant but not the taste. Ick. For that reason, I sadly avoid it.
