Busy Busy

I've been working on these curtains forEVER. 9 foot tall curtains are hard to come by so instead I went and got a Target special, bought one extra curtain, cut it up and hemmed it to the bottoms of the other ones. Usually this type of 'adventure' ends up in disaster but I'm actually quite pleased with the way things turned out... (I'm positively in love with this silvery blue-ish hue)
The one thing Bryan wanted when he graduated was NCAA College Football '09 (PS3 game) since he'd finally have some time to play it. And you can't play a PS3 game without a PS3 and you can't have a PS3 without a big, huge, freakin' TV...

The little black shelves and 2 black consoles are my attempt to copy this Pottery Barn picture (still a work in progress)...At Pottery Barn it would've cost $1,110
From Taipan & BedBath&Beyond?... $260
Putting it together all by myself?... Priceless!

Bryson obviously doesn't think the TV's big enough...

And this is my last project that ended up being SUCH A PAIN... but somehow turned out quite well... they are black wooden boxes to cover the DISH reciever and PS3 (part of my ongoing attempt to make this huge TV look classy).
Note to self: do not buy cheap wood next time. Glue, not screws. If you want it to be exaclty straight buy your own saw and cut it yourself. Live close to a Home Depot... like next door. Probably never attempt to do this again.

Marie-
Chris and I check your blog every so often. It seems like things are going really well. CONGRATULATE Brian that is exciting and all at the same time a little scary (not that he is practicing but just starting a new job like that!). Your house is beautiful. We moved but hopefully we will see you at the superbowl party you weren't there the last time probably still in Flordia
